The newly formed Information Security Officers Council held their initial meeting on Tuesday, November 15th. The Council membership is comprised of the those responsible for information security at their respective institutions and have been appointed by their institutional President. This security working group is a part of the overall NSHE information security governance structure and will be meeting quarterly to review system-wide policy, review security needs of NSHE IT projects, evaluate shared services opportunities where appropriate, and form the basis of information security knowledge sharing throughout Nevada’s higher education system.
The Information Security Officers Council will officially meet quarterly and use NSHE technology to communicate regularly throughout the year.
